Let’s Go! Putrajaya Part 1

My family and I (minus big sis, been fireflied to Kuching, Sarawak) went to Putrajaya for what mom called “sightseeing”. Though many have been there and explore the  beauty of Putrajaya, spending a night or two just to go to every famous landmarks and cool hang out spot - well, that is certainly not with my family. We’re almost 6 years now, living in Sepang. Which happens to be the neighbor of Putrajaya. But we never really took the time to “bersiar-siar” nor “jalan-jalan cari makan”. All these years, it had always been Alamanda, and not Putrajaya.

So, it was a big take the wind out of your sails you know. It has never crossed my mind that there is sorta uptown underneath the big brick-red mosque, the pride of Putrajaya (I think??). But, there it is, big, huge, crowded with stalls aligning the entire pavement selling all kinds of stuff, which are mostly souvenirs and nice batik and baju kurung, of course! There’s even this Birdy-guy with many parrots that attracts my attention. Some were friendly and chatty, while others are downright annoying. Can’t get a snap at them coz Birdy-guy won’t allow me to. Sheeesh.. Then, there’s this food harbor just a stone throw away. It was nice. There were many selection which you could choose from.  We all had a taste of Western with a kampong twist, which was nice and worth coming back again.

 On top of it all, we went to the mosque, perform our  prayers and definitely took some pictures!

Mom had asked for a ride on the cruise but there were so many people and we’re running late (with sending me off to Gombak and him heading back to JB). Besides, we thought maybe we could spare big sis another chance to ride the cruise and so we decided to come back this week, when she’s home. Unnie, jib-eulo ppalli gaja! <3<3

olla~~.. if you read jay's recent post bout me being ill, wif hidung "berlari-lari", and half 2pm kinda mc sume, well, guess what? diz week punye sampai sudaaa....berlari-lari lagi dye. but not as bad as last wik, wif cough, sore throat, burning eyes and the ultimate fever of course. mengape yea begitu?

kekeke.... true story ni... xtipu punye..SUMPIT! actually kan, weak antibody tu 1 hal, but the real deal is I will get sick whenever i get  back to campus (i repeat, CAMPUS  means any campus ea) from spending the weekend at homey Hernando Homer. (Dats my crib name laa...He's Spanish, asal Sepangnyol kott.) kat pj cmtu, kat kuantan cmtu gak, so? xkan gombak nak ngade2 spesel pulak tetibe kan kan kan? kat kampus changlun je xsaket... ape pasal? sebab dok sane 40 hari xbalek xbalek, so saket pun x datang jenguk2 laa.. easy explanation.

but today was not meant to tell you this crappy story about me runny-nosey thingy. it's about resuming the loooooooooonggggg pause of the saga. you see, it's been 5 weeks since jay and I kick-started the short semester. but to jay's surprise and my utter disbelief, gombak peeps are not dat keen on taking it. (surprise? kidding me? should have guessed...) Sume owg tanak amek short sem. Y arr? My only guess : Short-sem is sooooo freakin' boringgg taw! My ultimate paling-xsuke-moment is almost half of the many cafes are closed. NOT OPERATING. CLOSED. See? Cafe pun tak amek short-sem. Haaaiiissshhh... So my resolution for this sem is to went home every Thursday and be back on Monday. In other words, I'll spend my weekends with family just to save up on F&B. Ngeeeee~~~ I have spare you with some footages of the deserted Gombak. huu...

Jay had given me one great guessing game on our first week of the semester :
"Dalam banyak2 waktu kaaan, bile waktunye Gombak ni same mcm Kuantan??"

midday in clinic

last week kan, KP got sick. hidung die berlari-lari, hehe. so teman die pegi klinik uni afte clas. since it's our first time visit, we need to get registered la kan. tho i didnt intend to see the doc, i wnt to register also coz it's shortsem man~ the clinic isnt full like normal sem so dat nex tme, they alrdy hv my rekod, wudnt dat be easier.. at the registration counter, Kay give her matric card, and i asked if i only want to register, can it be done? then the staff answered, you dont want to meet the doctor rite, not need to register now la. whenever you're sick then you can come and register la dat time. *sigh* ingat kan nak take the chance since clinic xda orang.

so we waited for Kay's turn. then a staff over the counter called her name out. that person asked, 'awak dari kuantan ke?'. Kay said yes, then made to fill a form, just a piece of paper. seeing this, i went over and ask that staff can i fill the same form. coz i was thinking like since i alrdy registered at kuantan's mayb, they wud just be needing few details from me and they can retrieve other info from kuantan's database. but again i was given the same reply, 'only when you need to see the doctor, then you need to register' and she continue, since you're from kuantan, chances that you need to see the doctor here in gombak is unlikely much. and we dont keep record here in gombak, while in kuantan, they kept records on computer.. (ohhh cool kuantan) oh oh the staff thinking we are student from kuantan visiting gombak. wondering if dats why Kay filled in a single piece paper not like a kad pesakit or any of that kind. hurm, cant bother to explain much la dat time, well i guess nex time when i do really need to see the doc, (haha), i will get it rite and eventually get myself register. hahaha.

so here's a shot on kay's mc i want to share..

hehe.. see where the flash focus to?.. kay is asked to stay off work for half (1/2) pm day.. i think it's funny, the way it was written. one look, and it's like the word written is 2PM, haha how did they know kay's fave grup eh??

klw cuti sblum2 ny, pena jd nurse utk danny, dat rascal (my baby brother) mase dye kne...ehem, omputeh ckp circumsized mlayu pngil sunat! and even for myself ble kne denggi xtentu pasal, (our family, yg girls, all 4 of us pena kne dengue, tp mama ngan along kne denggi berdarah, ughh).


So? cuti ni pulak jd nurse lagi... Doc kate Mama saket panggilnye "frozen shoulder". adoooyy, mane datang? bukak pulak cter lame.

Roughly 6 years back, mama pena kne ragut woooo. kae pun pna kene jugak, tp tak seSERIUS mmama punye kes laaarrr. Tp alhamdulillah laaa, tade pape yg kne rampok kan coz yg peragut gila tue pegi rentap beg mama yg ade make-up tools, laksa ngan keropok mama beli kat gerai2 tepi jalan balik dr ofis. serve you right, you foooolll!! mama berpusing kot cam ballerina and then jatuh atas jalan. jiran2 mase tu sume tolong angkat mama n barang2 mama n usher mama balek smpy lar depan umah. mama ny baek sangat smpy x lodge police report mcm kte buat mase kte kne dlu. aduhaaiii... n mama pun x pegi klinik ke ape, x check her condition after that trauma.

Haa, now what happen? al-kisah pulak, suatu pagi sewaktu kae tgh tdow dgn khusyuknye mengalahkan owg yg tgh menelaah pelajaran,kekeke mama kejutkan kte ajak pegi hospital. anak mane x sedey ble celik2 je mate, tgok mak dye da menanges2 pegang bahu dye yg saket. huwaaaaa ;S

and dlam bnyk2 waktu dlam hidup ny, time tue laaaa kae rase mcm tak gune sngt. HOPELESS!! fyi, kae tade lesen ag, kete pun x pena try nak bawak. ;( mcm mane nak bawak mama? last2, mintak tolong makcik van yg slalu anta sofy danny g skola, dye jiran satu taman laaa. alhamdulillah, ade jugak jiran yg baek mcm tu kat dunia ni kan?

tapi, kat hospital, ade lagi bende x besh. lepas mama da kne inject dgn painkiller, dgn jarum panjang sejengkal, mak aiiihhh... doc kate, bahu mama laen macam siket. sebela normal, sebela pulak kecut siket. da kecik. da x proportion. bile tgk x-ray, doc kate pulak, dulu punye injury da dislocate. (weyy, mende tue? x amek bio dah laaar, da berkarat, xpaham...) doc explain lg, dulu after snatch incident tue, her shoulder crack a little, then the ligament that joint her bone and muscle have gone out of its coordinate. and instead of that dislocation of ligament and the swollen shoulder, it has now become like a new bone because there's a white thing coming out of her arm kat x-ray tu and dat ''new bone" is poking her muscle everytime she try to move her arm. (haaa... cmtu laaa doc, ade maths siket, physics siket, coordinate, dislocate, bahase tadika siket, baru pahaaam) so, after dat, selang 1 ari kte teman mama bawak pegi hospital. buat physio. first 3 visits, memang makcik van tu laa yg bawak we all gi hospital. Pastu, next next therapy session, ktorang g sendiri. haaa~~ kat sini ade interesting story nak story. huu..


mama insist sangat nak drive. mama saya cukup degil. so, how? ngee~~... klw kae yg bawak, nmpk gayenye kae ikut skali gi hospital tu, jd patient mcm mama. kekeke, tp tade lar. camni, mama duduk kat driver seat, both her feet and her right arm are still useable, hehe.. so, d rest mcm handbreak, gear, signal (pelik eh klw signal sebela kiri??) and 1/2 of the stering wheel, kae handle. haha, amacam, awethome x? huuu... that whole experience and the entire journey nak ke hospital tu asek lar terjerit2 and tergelak2 ktorang kat dlam kete tue like mad. mane x nyer? when you pair up an experience driver with a complete dummy (dats me!) to SHARE the wheel, memang end up as a complete mess lar kan. wakakakaka... but thank God, everything is safe. phewh... mama kate, Allah yang bawak kete tu, sebab tue selamat sampai. *wink*


skrg ni, shotsem da start. aritu da  decide da, x nak amek, coz nak teman mama gi therapy. lagi pulak, mama pkai baju, kte pakaikan, mama makan, kte suapkan, mama nak ikat rambut, kte sikatkan/ikatkan, mama drive, kte co-pilotkan. klw wat shotsem, sape nak tolong mama? hmm...tp mama kate, buat je shotsem tue, ble mama nak teman g hospital, mama call lar. n kae da nekad nak amek license, as soon as SOOOONN!! n sem ny nak try n blaja BALEK EVRY WEEK. td kae suggest kat mama nak travel, sbb klas ari isnin, rabu, khamis je. tp mama still kate duk mahallah is still the best offer. mama kate "anak mama bukan sorang, pegi jela blaja tu". nak burst je evrytime mama ckp cmtu. ;(

and mase mother's day aritu, we all treat her for a dinner. memang memorable abes laahh. we all dine dkat KOREAN CUISINE RESTAURANT and we cooked and grilled our own food! caya lah! dae-bak!! korea da best! huhuhu.... n da most important thing is, mama hepy dpt mkn dgn we all (although sofy tade coz she went for some kind of camping trip, i dunno) and she understands why me and along SUKE GILEEERRRR dgn korean culture ni. huhuhu... all in all, MAMA HAPPY. dah, tu je penting.

So, to all motherssss out there, wishing you a blissful HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY.
And to all anak-anak kat dunia ny, ade pesanan penaja siket kat sini ; every human being who is lucky enough to live in this world, you have at least ONE mother. but, those yg ade 2/3mak tu, patut rase lg bertuah laaar CHERISH her every moment and LOVE her with all the love you've got. tp bapaknye jgn dilupekan pulak yea?

weee finally got d chance to try magnolia sherbet.. nyum nyum nyum.. glad i pick melon, it's sweet, delicious and got titbits of melon fruit with it. there are also lychee and orange flava just now. tried dad's~ mangosteen, it has a bit of sour taste, not much to my liking :( for over rm2+, i wud instead chose drumstick if i want to fill my stomach.. but for sweet tooth crave definitely make a good choice.. :)

had some news from seniors, most in their third and final year are doing practical during this long 5months break. some off with pretty good starts while few are having demanding task already during their first week. [wobbly knees] we do wish you guys survive till the very end~

[drum rolls] the royal wedding it is! it's happening on 29th april.. anyone would be watching the live broadcast? i wasnt born yet during lady di's time. but had been reading and reckon that everyone is as just as excited for the wedding. and on tv have been airing colbie caillat song, i do, which is really nice and just suit the mood. saw on TLC, there would be a special broadcast, they called the royal wedding week starting on 25th april. the i do song by colbie is lovely, really, the i do song just make me wanna say i do i do i do do do do do...

Gosh!! It sure does get all grimy and grubby in here, doesn’t it? I could even spot some fungus and mushrooms here and there. Sheesh…

Anyhow, I should get goin and start feeding with some updates, aren’t I? Yes, mam.

Well, today… I wouldn’t say it’s another long-boring-inactive day with zero activities on my list. Today, my friend, is a daddy and his girl day! Yippie!

You see, I’m on a long, looooooooong vacation that I’m not sure of its validity. I’m still waiting for a green light to take up the short semester. If my app is granted, then my vacay would be til May. But if it’s denied, goodbye Gombak and hellooow 5 months of looooooooooong holidays. “Wake me up when September ends”. Yup! Best fit. Not something that I’d dreamed of, I tell you.

Anyway, let’s get back to the main highlight of the post, shall we? Urmmm, how should I begin? Pictures? Sounds nice… Here you go… Tadaaaaa…!!!!

Me and my cute yet hippie daddy had a tremendous COOK-OFF, ala Masterchef. Ngee~~~… Though I cooked only 1 dish, dad said “It’s good, well~ not superb, but OK..” the remaining 3 is of course the masterpiece of Chef Eltyf laaarr… All in all, it was a nice dinner. Thanks dad! You certainly made my day. =)

se'semester' yang lepas, pergi exam naik rj liner(sebuah cruise khas ke pulau kom, kop, kod, kos dan cts)

se'semester' yang lepas, habis exam, blik hometown beramai-ramai, berteman2 :) (ikut destinasi lar kan), da one time separuh bus, kwn sekampus sendiri.

this time, pergi exam naik bus no 11, Kay la conductor, Kay la driver, hehe, im, of course, the passenger.
this time, nak pergi exam, kena tanya soalan, nak kuar hostel ikut pintu mana?
this time, exam kat main hall, cultural activity center, dari semua arah student datang, parking area kaed, parking area clinic, hostel, tuju ke satu> exam hall.. (wobbly knees la time tuh)
this time, pergi exam berbekalkan drawing board, circle template, french curve, compass, set square, and kay's fav, light saber for exam :)

eventually, we head to the end of the week, the end of exam period, the end of semester...., and this only means! it's the beginning of semester break! weehee.. have a break.. nooo, wait.. it doesnt meant to go and break your arm or leg, not even any of the fingers tau~ do other things, learn something new, go on a cruise (pandai je aku suggest, hehe), join a marathon (even it's movie marathon! :) ), go backpacking (for me: this cover packing all your things in the hostel room and unpack it once you are at home, haha)..

As the name suggest, I kinda on the fence whether or not these peeps were here in Gombak for the sake of the Ummatic week, kekeke... Anyhow, I would like to keep a sweet record of their visits to Gombak and not forgetting...my sweet home! jeng jeng jeng...

They arrived in Gombak on Friday, March 4th to be exact. They were here for the event of inter-nation-culture-sharing-is-caring-moment kinda stuff that were held annually - I guess - to celebrate the colours of IIUM lar kunun. (To be honest, I personally think it was meant only for Gombak je kut, coz Kuantan peeps are not participating, just visiting. Yup, JUST VISITING...). So, they end-up visiting the booth, the cultural nite events, the show, and etc. for the entire weekend. But since they already here, I should treat 'em as my special guests laaar, shouldn't I? And so, off to SEPANG we go! It was my mum's plan to ask them to come over and have a decent lunch. Mind you, a DECENT LUNCH, ok? Da busan dgn cafe punye sajian. Budak-budak ni, ckp jew psl mkn, ZAP! "ON BABE!!" ngee~~ da tawu daa korang suke makan2 business ni... =P

you get it rite! we went rowing. well, it's a kayak actually. our mahallah organized the program, and we decided to join. all the way to mariam lake we went. [had we not join this, i dnt think i would know there's a lake at the really end of our hostel area :) they provide us with a brief first so we know how to paddle, how to stop or slow down or in case of capsizing. then they let us geared up, ready to kayak!! at first takut wo, haha, but then the lake is only your waist deep, so even the kayak capsized, you can stand right way, xtenggelam punye, pheww.

then we had a barbeque which the committee in charge had kindly prepared for us. next, off biking we go.

as the lake is quite big, so we borrowed 'the mahallah bike' [not sure myself, was it really belongs to the ostel :)] and around we go.

The G.K Saga. Episode 1

Its been 12 weeks since we begin a new chapter in our lives, turning on a new leaf ; as Engineering students. Boy, oh boy. The very basis of the existence of this blog was to share our records of being in a new place, taking up a new programme and meeting up with a huge set of new people. Little did we knew, time flies so fast that we keep on postponing the launch of the blog. But, we did make it and now you guys are avidly reading it. Alhamdulillah.

Where to begin? It seems that the concurrent point of origin is at infinity! (cet, kemaruk static plak =p) Ok, ok. I’m not going to fuss over this kinda stuff over and over again just to tune to right melody. So, I’m just gonna tell you the way it really is.

So far… Gombak and Kuantan are plainly on two opposite ends of the world. (goin to abbreviate Gombak and Kuantan as G and K simply.. =) ) Back when we were in PJ, we always thought that “how different can these two campus – under the same name – be?” Little did we knew how wrong we were. G and K are indeed two poles apart, can be analogous compare to fraternal twins. *wink* If I were to describe G and K in two words, I’d say ;

K : nice.special.                 G : mean.weird.                               (no offense G peeps..)

To cover a full report right off the scene from the moment we step r foot to this very Valley of Weirdville, it’ll take me months to stop typing and by that moment, this boney-fingers of mine would be left with just bones and zero flesh. Heee~~.. We prefer to give you guys the REAL and in-depth story of our lives here – that we gladly share -  rather than to speed everything up like in the movie CLICK and missing out all the good stuff that even we didn’t get to enjoy. So. If it take years, so be it. Spare us some time, k?

Hmm, let’s talk about the most talked about topic in every student of all branches of study, shall we? The SUBJECTS and CREDITS. Dun-dun-dunnnhh… This semester we start off with fifteen and a half (that’s 15.5 n to those who aren’t expose to this .5 credit thingy, YUP. we have dat here) with a total of six not-so-drive-me-up-the-wall subjects – or so they say – namely ; Statics, Electric Circuits, Calculus I, Engineering Drawing, Electric Circuit Lab and a university required course, Islam: Knowledge and Civilisation. The last two subjects mentioned aren’t causing much of a headache as much the other four does. The fact that we didn’t get a chance to register the subjects with lecturers of our choices makes it 10x harder to survive on this very estrange land. *sigh* Half of the semester is already behind us, but still, it affects us both, BIG TIME. We’ll provide you with the details per subject later, gradually as time permits, InsyaAllah. Til then, adieu. =)

A Tale Of TAILS *creepy*

This is not another ghost story nor your average horror-flicks, ok? This is down-right true and it just happen less than 20 minutes ago.

As we walk effortlessly to our rooms, we were so shocked to catch a glimpse of the-not-so-cute-monkeys just before our eyes. At first, we only spot 2 little ones with a look that will never make you feel like peeing in your pants. The thought of kicking those 2 just seem overly extraordinaire, ngeee~~~... But then, our worst nightmare just got even nasty. Here comes the MOMMAAAh! and the other three musketeers. Hell no! Jay already left - god knows where - as far as she possibly could, as I was still standing there, counting their tribe members while searchhing for the roomkeys like manic!


Why? Above all days, above all creatures. Why laarr? Adeeyyh.. *sigh*

Then, the next thing I knew, these three devils came crawling towards me - an inch closer by each steps - with that out-of-the-world kinda sound that just made me sprint out of the nearest emergency exit. How ironic. All this while, I thought the only purpose of that exit was for the case of fire or whatever serious. But, it turns out, this is also SERIOUS. Yup. There I was, running, screaming, in desperate need of rescue from this vicious apes. Why? ooohhh...WHY?

I waited about 10 minutes or so with jay before we head back to our room. Gladly they were gone. Still, the trauma we had can never be easily heal. The damage is done. haaaiiisshhh...@_@
Ouh, I'm in desperado of a REVENGE. The fallen shall rise again. muahahahaha~~...

Hai! Nyum nyum, zzzz and HAHA . Wassup with these? They are things our days have been filled up with..... since the day we took the other 'right' turn : )

like any other roadtrip, ours starts with unfamilliar path then it become a bumpy ride and we have didnt see it coming brutal slope and sneaky junctions too :S

but there are also joyious moments, the tempting turns, the trip to ice cream parlor and the hot tickets we got from patrol CARS even at our rugged speed. (something to celebrate ha? yup!]

sooo here it is a blog as a chronicle to the journey made by two amigos Jay and Kay [who? the MIB? tbc...]
